PhD ADVISING
Mahbub has examined and/or supervised (full-time and visiting) doctoral students from the UK, Spain, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Thailand, Malaysia and Bangladesh.
His former doctoral students work in leading business schools, or in central government.
Currently he is supervising four HDR stud
ents, and seeking to recruit another two for 2017 entry.
Mahbub regularly supervises MBA projects and MSc dissertations.
He welcomes enquiries (via the contact form) from prospective MRes and PhD students who:
- wish to pursue a research question on a topic that conincides with his area of expertise and his current interest;
- have strong academic records (see HUBS PhD entry requirements). Students admitted on the programme normally have a Distinction at Masters (overall as well as on the dissertation) and a First Class Bachelors degree
- have high motivation for research, strong desire to understand, and challenge as appropriate, conventional thinking and practice.
